Description Okay, now I've seriously finished my 'things I owe' list. Now my conscience feels slightly better.

It's not a prize, but a ridiculously long overdue trade with the amazing and really understanding CMBaggs . She asked for her OC Ana, another redhead to complement the redhead she drew for me (here ). Her design was really fun to try out, (I love her hair style especially), though I do hope you don't mind the minor creative licensing I've done with her outfit (and some colour schemes).

I do hope you like it, and sorry for the wait (again!)

OMG! This is wonderful and worth the wait! Look at all those details! The ruffles of her sleeve. The embroidery on the bodice and that pretty, pretty background. The way the trees fade and and frame her, drawing attention her face. What elegant bone structure you gave her. Look at those cheekbones! My favorite thing, however has to be the way you coloured her hair. So vibrant and pretty. Of course I don't mind that you played with the colours or her clothes. Ana here is a lady, and is not adverse to a little dress-up.

I am sorry it took me so so long to get to this comment, but I wanted to wait until I had time to actually write something meaningful rather than a simple thanks. This is beautiful and deserved my full attention.Β

I'm absolutely relieved! Though I'm glad those little details and stuff turned out alright with you.

Lol, cause bone structure's my jam...okay not really (but they're fun) but she seems like a refined lady to have one! Her hair was actually the most fun bit for me. I'm so glad that just as I was putting the colours for the skin and hair it actually matched the coloured piece you did of her.Β

Hey, it's absolutely no problem, I can totally understand that people get busy. It was an absolute pleasure trading with you!

Beautifully drawn! I think my favourite part is the necklace, it is so intricate and sparkly! I love the embroidery on her corset too, the flowers are interesting colours.

Haha, it was part of the original design, but it was so nice I had to keep it in. Lol, thanks! I don't even know if corsets of that style have embroideries like that, but let's just go with it

I really like the colours here, both the outfit and that red hair and the background!

Thank you~ I'm kinda relieved the colours complemented each other in this one. Lol, drawing redheads is becoming quite a common thing for me nowadays

This is great! I love the detailing on her bodice-thingy.Β

Thanks! The detailing was kinda arbitrary and unintentional, but I was quite happy with how it managed to look alright

It looks great
I love the realism in your digital paintings. Without rendering scenes with uninteresting photographic detail you manage to create images that seem very real (…if that makes any senseΒ  Β ).Β

Naww, Β I really appreciate it. I could say the same to you, I love how you paint skin, like you can show how translucent it can be.

I totally get what you're trying to say. I mean, while realism's one thing, I've always preferred one level beneath that. Part of it's cause I don't have the patience to fully render and the other's that I've yet to figure out how~

Her outfit is great! I love what you did with the floral patterning, and her necklace is really catching my magpie eye

Thanks! The outfit was referenced from a stock photo I saw from quite awhile ago, just adjusted to fit the colour scheme of the character. '

Lol, 'magpie eye'. For some reason I really like that term for some reason. But kinda glad it did attract attention.

It looks good! And fits her too

Lol well shiny things attract me so it fits well! Only I get this compulsion to keep polishing them

I've got that thing with jewellery too! Though it's a sad thing that I tend to do that with the newer stuff and eventually go 'eh, it'll be fine' with the sort of stuff I've worn for longer (with exception of those with greater sentimental value).

The thing is that I don't actually wear jewellery but get attracted to it just to hoard
Aww you're such a favouritist lol, to your new stuff

ExplosiveCoffee In reply to Sleyf [2016-02-15 03:15:21 +0000 UTC]

I don't wear much either, but the general criteria's "it doesn't get in the way of things". But yeah, for some odd reason I hoard some too.Β

Mind you I prefer 'selective favouritist', cause after a while, with my goldfish-standard memory, I'd forget.

Lol I said that but today I'm wearing earrings and a necklace, that's like the maximum jewelry load for me. It's just pretty to have!

Lol

ExplosiveCoffee In reply to Sleyf [2016-02-16 10:05:47 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha! I can't do earrings, beyond the basics, cause I've lost too many. In fact my current pair's mismatched cause I lost one in some river in Thailand.

Oh my!Β  It's somewhere out there, like my dad's sunglasses that fell in the Nile (actually, it was decades ago and we were on a boat ride and I was a kid and playing that game with my dad where you try to smack the other person's hands while they move them away - and I accidentally caught his sunglasses and knocked them in the water - I felt soooo awful)
They're now with your earring int he land of 'things that got lost in rivers abroad'

Oh wow. I mean in consolation, it was kiiiinda by accident (but the guilt thing's the tough bit to get over). I mean I lost my stuff cause me and a group of friends decided that trying to tackle each other off our own rafts was 'harmless fun' (nearly lost my raft buddy's glasses, which was heart-attack inducing for a bit). Then again, we were the same idiotic bunch who played that exact 'slapping game' you were talking about to the point of mild-to-severe bruising.

And given how muddy/whatever that gross sinking feeling you get, I'm kinda grossed out to think what else was left behind down there.

Sleyf In reply to ExplosiveCoffee [2016-03-01 07:59:37 +0000 UTC]

It was, and my dad wasn't mad about it, but you know i felt bad because I made him lose his sunglasses - you know how kids hang on to that kind of thing - whereas if it happened now, I wouldn't care so much lol

Oh my gosh, the loss of the prescription glasses would have been terrible!Β  Especially if he or she didn't take a spare set! (I don't know which would be worse actually, breaking them, or losing them!)
Lol, why does everyone feel the need to do the slapping game to the point of bruising??? It's like we're all just a little bit sadistic deep down and need to see how much we can handle

Ugh, I don't even want to know, that's why I can never understand how people can walk into rivers or the sea without flip-flops on at least (even if they do get washed away or sucked up by mud)
