First off, the black background is perfect for this because it guarantees no distractions away from the flames. I love how bright and exuberant they are. I'm not sure how you timed this so well but I really bet you had fun with this.
I also love how the flames are trailing off, it gives the appearance of the motion that is occurring with the explosion. It's overall a really great and realistic shot. It's exactly what we think of when we think of an explosion.
Of course this picture has a lot of impact; it's an action shot after all. That's what caught my eye in the first place. There really aren't enough in-motion shots out there.

Glad you like it so much. Yes I have a LOT of fun with fire and flames, but sadly the only chance I have to take them are on concerts, so all shots of fire you see from me are from live stage performances. I could collect some knowledge already to be able to play around with all of them. Would love to have more chances, but well... You can't have everything I guess.

I don't have preferences for concerts but I had quite some legends in front of me.
Be it Corpsegrinder (Singer of Cannibal Corpse) breaking his neck with his super hard and fast headbanging, Alice Cooper, Sabaton, Crowbar, Terror, Subway to Sally, Katie Melua and a lot of others.

My fireshots you see here are from one single concert from around 3 weeks ago from the band "VΓΆlkerball" which is a Rammstein Coverband.
Sadly I don't get much opportunities, in fact I get a lot of stones thrown into my way. Huge stones, mostly called mountains, moons or planets :/
