Skulduggery and Valkyrie are on the case of stopping a cult called The Diablerie from bringing The Faceless Ones (huh. Wonder why they're called that?) into this world and enslaving humanity.I didn't bother with Gordon as he comes and goes in a handful of pages.
I also have to say.... WOW-EE!! What a cliffhanger, eh?! Bring on book 4!

When I bought the book, the shop assistant who was certainly older than me said, "Ah, Skulduggery Pleasant! They're great books aren't they?"
I agreed, saying that I had been waiting for this one in paperback.
Now I know what he meant when he said that he loved this one and is very eagerly waiting for the next book!
