EDIT AUG 2012: Let's be clear. These first couple of "Slender Man Mythos" comic strips were done purely for mine and others entertainment but it has now long since reached the point where I no longer have the time or energy to do these for free anymore. Different people have different reactions to monsters.
Three differing web series that revolve around a group of guys (and gals) as they cope with having the faceless tall one, the Slender Man, along with his associates, hunt them during their daily lives.
Experience genuine scares and Lost-style plot twists in Marble Hornets as Jay tries to find out what happened to his friend Alex after he encountered (and keeps encountering) the Slender Man/Operator and the aggressive totheark: [link]
Get involved with Vince, Jeff and Evan in EverymanHYBRID as they begin to piece together the events detailing their long association in their current life and their past lives with the Slender Man, the vicious spirit HABIT and the creature, The Rake: [link]

Well, there is TJAProjects whose main characters are TJ (Tatiana) and Amy. That series has finished but TJ has JUST started a sequel series called MakingNewMemoriesAS.
There is also The Tulpa Effect whose main character is Marissa and I think of Natalie from CaughtNotSleeping as the 2nd main character.
Female-orientated series do exist!

Still you should at least keep watching (or just skip ahead) to Update 7 before making a firm decision. That feels like a real turning point for the series with an impressive Slender Man encounter!

You know, I have to give credit where credit is due. At least Evan tried to attack Slendy. Granted, that kind of back-fired on him, but unlike Jay and Alex in Marble Hornets, he at least tried to do something (though I want to believe that Jay threw the camera at him in Entry 52). By the way, cute little drawing, and I'd say more about this, but I haven't watched TribeTwelve yet.

Okay ok ok. How do you seem to know a lot of the info in your description? I watched a bunch of marble hornets but that got boring because almost all the videos seemed pointless and everything was a bunch of clues that led to nothing. And I just finished all the youtube videos of everymanHYBRID but I don't know if I'm just not smart enough to actually think anything through but nothing seems to make any sense and your description is actually the most in depth info I've been able to get. Like where did you find out that the creature was called the rake? There are so many loose ends that it's pointless for me to even try to make sense of them.

With EverymanHYBRID not all of the story is contained in all of the videos on their main YT page. It's a story that spans three Twitter accounts, three YouTube accounts, five ustream chats, a blog called CANYOUSEETHEWORDS and several boxes and bags found by fans that contain important documents concerning the characters.
Something that should be incredibly helpful to any newcomer is the EverymanHYBRID wiki which has a timeline (currently divided into years 2010 and 2011) which lists in order all the events of the story up to now. 2010: [link]

I came into the series late and when the guys decided to "rescue" some random girl whom I had never heard of from a medical facility followed by them discovering that Alex has a non-Slenderman monster living in his closet, I though, "I'm missing something aren't I?"
Eventually, I discovered the wiki timeline and all became clear...

Yes, the main reason I didn't bother to go to the other sites they talked about and find the rest of the clues is honestly because I was too lazy and I didn't feel comfortable going to an unknown site.
