This is a painting of her horse Toffee and is turning out to be lovely detailed I am really enjoying painting him and I hope you like it Girleh!!

Looks pretty good so far! I can't wait to see the finished product!
About painting hair, the technique you're using right now is decent, but you should remember that hair is uniform, and thus the shadows and highlights would be uniform as well. They would be grouped in darks and lights that gradually give in to the mid-tone. Thus the highlight hairs that you've added in the dark of the jaw wouldn't be so scattered.
