Entry for spring-thing-fling.deviantart.…Oh my gerd, I absolutely love this design!!!
Why i chose the design
Well i really wanted to go for a natural darkish color so i went for brown and spots immediately came to mind. I really like variations of browns and the white just gives it that soft look and i really like that. Also i wanted something different and put feathers on the legs, reason being is that i red somewhere that Springs bounce so i added feathers so it can get a higher bounce.
What it means personalty
The color makes him look very wild but also serious and the eye expression really shows the personality already, Happy but also mature and thats what im like in person so this character reflects the mature side of my personality.

Dislikes: Being alone, being told what to do, under pressure
Personality: Splotch likes being in controll but also having fun, He is very mature when his on his and around others . He has alot of respect for others and wont invade personal boundaries. Loves to wonder in unknown places and loves to explore.
Why i want to be apart of the Spring Species
They are so fun to draw!!!!! and their anatomy is very unique. I would love to draw more Spring art and if i had a character i could draw so much, I would also love to commission people using a Spring character and perhaps help with getting springs more well known

Ah this is why I was really excited about seeing people's MYOs really unique takes on the species! : D
I LOVE the color pallet and markings it's very natural. I actually love the feathers, I never thought about Springs with feathers but I think it fits your design very well. I suppose these little guys could totally be able to have feathery patches on rare breeds. (In which case you're fine with using them I'm not going to ask for any changes)
But I am in love with this design I will have to draw them sometime >u<

I love drawing the body shapes of Springs, its just different and really stretches out my drawing techniques which is why i love drawing them, Thank you so much for accepting the feathers, i wasn't to sure if i could keep them but im glad that they are allowed.

I enjoy the really natural colors and how you made his personality tie in with yours.
The ear tips are so cute.
The tail is different too. Does it have a hairband on the tip?
Feedback:
- The only thing I am not sure about are the feathers on the legs. I am just the co-owner/coordinator so I am not sure if feathers are allowed or not. The person that would be able to make the final say would be Zawyn. Springs are sorta like bouncy pups so they tend to have only fur as faw as I know.
Overview:
- All in all very nice design that may possibly need slight alterations.
- We do want people to be creative with the species so I do hope it does not upset you that the feathers may need to be altered. ;o;
- You tied in yourself very nicely as well which is what we wanted. We really want this species to be a fun place for all involved. ^^ <3

I think the feathers could be a rare trait to keep the uniqueness of this one. ^^
I feel like since I had no information on these and I really love the creativity that a exclusive trait can be allowed for this myo contest. Since it's a previously unused trait I feel like in this case we can wave any exclusive charges since the species is so young and growing at this time. c:

I am so happy with how you run the species. It lets people feel creative with only slight constraints.
How about this specific trait be like for a mountain Spring?
Like not make this person call theirs a mountain Spring if they do not want to but the feathers would allow for higher jumps to make scaling mountains easier for the wild Spring. That is where the feathers could originate.
