just make a duplicate of the image by pressing command+J / ctrl+J (windows)
then make a vertical flip, click add layer mask, next right of add layer style,
then click gradient, then just drop it, its easy!

cool, i usually make a selection below the solid shape and put a "feather" amount on it then hit delete.
