Just popping in from Project Comments. There's nothing quite like a good blend of the macabre and cute.

The use of colour is perfect, contrasting the dusty greys and black with the bright, energetic orange. It catches the viewer's eye and accentuates the power and energy boiling with in the stone. The face in the magma is my favourite touch, as its plays with the viewer's imagination. There's the outline of what appears to be a mouth, along with holes that seem to be eyes. But by leaving it ambiguous as whether it's really alive or not you gave the picture an additional layer of intrigue and danger, as we're left to wonder if whatever's in the magma wants to harm the creatures. The little robots hit a perfect balance of cartoonish and disturbing, both simple and cute enough to be appealing, but they also have an eeriness about them, especially with their vacant eyes. Their expressions are funny but still work within the sinister mood of the image.

I really can't think of anything serious to complain about. Some areas are a little too blurry like the line between the hand and arm of the robot on the left, but other than that it's solid. Great work and keep on going!

Aw man, thanks so much. This is one of the nicest things about my art I've ever heard. It also made me realize some things about this piece that I should try incoperating into my other art more, and how certain expressions and subtly and interactivity with the viewer is important. I'll keep what you said in mind, thanks again.Β
