Description Re-worked design of Ted Grant's alter ego for my Elseworld DC Universe.

Much of Ted Grant's early history and origin as a costumed crime fighter remains the same in this Elseworld as in normal comic continuity.

Grant in this Elseworld however is a resident of Star City having grown up in the rough low income section known as the “Glades” and a founding member of the original Legion of Superheroes, having help to found the group shortly after he had cleared his named and reputation for the murder of a fellow boxer in a set up by local crime boss, Victor Moretti. Grant remains one of the world's greatest all time boxers as well as unofficial expert in various other forms of hand to hand combat including Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and Capoeira, all which served him well in his role as Wildcat. Grant also possesses heightened stamina and endurance accounting for his early success in the ring during his pro boxing days and which years later would be discovered to be an aspect of his actually being a meta human. Grant also possesses a seemingly slower rate of aging as well compared to a normal human, another aspect of his metahuman physiology. Although chronologically in his 80's, Grant maintains the physiology and appearance of a man in his early 50's in prime physical athletic condition.

Grant as Wildcat was a stalwart member of the Legion, staying active as a member even when members such as Scarlet Sentinel, Captain Quick and the original Wonder Woman took extended leaves from the group for personal reasons, especially during the “Dark Age” of the 1950's prior to the team seemingly putting a permanent end to their arch nemesis, the Ultra Humanite and officially disbanding after his defeat. Wildcat would remain an active crime fighter until the mid 1960's. Ted Grant would befriend local Star City resident and renowned singer Diana Drake and her husband police detective Larry Lance going on to become godfather and surrogate grandfather figure to their daughter Dinah even teaching her boxing techniques and the various forms of hand to hand combat skills he was versed from her teens into her early adulthood. Dinah Lance would go on to use these very skills when she adopted the costume identity of the Black Canary in battling the fledgling incarnation of Intergang that tried to take root in Star City.

It has only been very recently that Ted Grant learned that not only had he fathered a son, named Thomas Bronson during the 1960's by a former flame named Marilyn Bronson but that Thomas himself also fathered an illegitimate child, a daughter named Yolanda Montez who has inherited Ted's metahuman abilities plus heightened speed, agility and senses. Yolanda seemed to be headed into a life down a criminal path until Grant took in his granddaughter in hopes of redirecting her on to a better path and began training her to utilize her abilities and of course fighting. Grant chose to re-activate his Wildcat identity and join the current incarnation of the Legion of Super Heroes when Scarlet Sentinel re-established the team, bringing his granddaughter, taking on the identity of this Elseworld's Pantha, as well to firmly place her on the path as a champion against injustice.
