I came to think that Rin and Sakura are a bit similar. They both are/were in love with the broody prodigy of their team and both of them are Medic-Nins.
I think Rin was way calmer than Sakura is (and they don't look alike at all) but nevertheless it must have been painful for Kakashi to see history repeat itself. He must have been reminded of his old team and how everyone of his teammates was dead (tought to be dead).
It is actually one of my head-canons that after Sakura became Tsunade's apprentice he couldn't continue to train her because she was too much like Rin. And Kakashi felt guilty.
Sakura doesn't know all that and thinks Kakashi simply thinks she's not worth to be trained by him (unlike Sasuke or Naruto).

Wow I made myself sad... but I'm sad anyway because of the lack of the new chapter °____°
When is it supposed to come out anyway? And don't tell me next week because I checked and there was no message at the end of the chapter that this week's chapter will be delayed.
And I refuse to accept this possibility, I mean WE DID OUR WAITING.
12 YEARS.
