...Alright she's cute, but she still doesn't hold a candle to Helmet.

...given a choice, I'm sure Datacable would rather hold a oxy acetelane torch to Helmet!

and I'm sure Helmet feels the same way about her...even though they're robots and supposed to be emotionless, I have the distinct feeling that there's some real animosity between Datacable and Helmet - they're just never going to be buddies...

Well they might Begrudgingly admit that the other Bot is a W̶o̶r̶t̶h̶y̶ Decent opponent, and probably nothing more then that.

Datacable might - in private - to her seconds - after rebooting from being knocked out - offer the opinion that Helmet "throws a reasonably solid punch."

Helmet might - if you searched every file on her harddrive - have a file hidden deep in her system files that reads "Datacable's not in my class, but she can be entertaining to watch when she fights against other less talented boxers."

Both - if you offered them an exclusive written contract stipulating that they would fight each other and only each other, in bouts to be fought to an involuntary reboot only, until such time as one or the other of them could no longer be repaired adequately to continue boxing - would jump at the opportunity to make a career out of beating each other to scrap.

You know in such a scenario I can see them both on their last legs, they both know by their data assessments that they only have one good fight in either of them. So might as well have one last scrap against each other, and only then would there be even a chance of them admitting that the other is a worthy opponent or even that they feel an odd joy fighting the other. Not the joy of turning your rival to scrap, but something else.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head here - even though neither would admit that the other defines her as a boxer, I suspect that each is defined in terms of her previous fights with the other, sort of like Mickey Ward and Arturo Gatti...
