Heh, something different from me. I drew this after my chem test. Don't know why, just feel like drawing something after seeing some sketches from other people, like bakapoo! so, I start to draw and here's what I've drawn. This is Experiment 221, Sparky. His power is to create electric shock. He appears in the sequel of Lilo & Stitch, that is Stitch! The Movie, which I own its DVD when I saw it sold for 20 bucks in the campus cd stall. Not a bad deal eh?I scanned it, sepia toned and changed contrast and curves for darker figure line. Draw using 0.3mm mechanical pen with HB lead which I used for my drafting course, mainly for construction lines.
So, tell me how's my drawing.

Nice work! I don't know if I could help on anything I'm not that good... see my first character work [link] I'm not that good at drawing perspectives, I think it's easy to get the shape wrong when I try to turn a character.
My wife and I went to Disney World and on a tour through the artists studio they were working on Lilo and Stitch. It was so cool to see it come out and get to see what the artists had been doing.

actually i'm not good at drawing things, i can only "copy" them. I can't really draw anything just out of my imagination, I can only refer and draw. Your first attempt is pretty nice, even though yeah, the character looks a little weird for it's figure. Anyway, I can't do it well either, not even the simplest pose can I draw them out.
nice, I would like to go Disney land, must be a dreamy journey that is full of excitement and fantasy. I would like to see how artist start to sketch out the figure and I might learn some stuff about sketching from them. lucky you

The cool thing was that she drew Stitch, right there as we watched. The sad thing is, at the time, I wasn't looking at "how" she was drawing I was just looking at "what" she was drawing. Oh... I wouldn't worry about copying to do your work... everything she drew, she informed us, was based off of a character layout. At the top of the work station she was at there was a set of Stitch views, she said that these were for the artists to maintain a consistent design. So even the Disney artists work from templates!
Thanks for the info... I'm confused about "...the character looks a little weird for it's figure..." drop me some more clues I'm all ears!

erm, i would say it's the head. The year is too parallel to each other, and hence "weird", and the shading around the eyes and nose are too thick compare to others. I would prefer a round eyes for the kangaroo, i think the eyes are a little too wide. The legs... i don't know how kangaroo legs are, but they seems a little bit weird for me, maybe it's the angle of how their bone bends at the joint...

heh, have u watched the movie too? yeah, that's a great movie. Lilo and Stitch is a great creation of Disney~ there're so many other experiment, it's pretty crazy.
