Description A heron, fishing on the local pond.

It's in scraps because I'm not happy with the resolution of the shot. The light was getting dim and the bird was too skittish to get too close.

I know that spot it's not easy is it? I have heaps of Heron shots down there but none have been good enough to post. It flies off if you get too close. I got a Great Egret in that exact spot yesterday evening. I was just getting my tripod out when a woman pushing a pram came along and it flew off I'll post one of the shots I did get off in scraps to show you

No, it's not an easy one to get. I tried a few times. I don't think wearing a white t-shirt helped me in the stealth department today either. Plus there was a couple of times when the only reason I spotted the thing was it took off before I even realised it was there

tell me about it, I have had on either hot pink or red and they fly away as soon I get there! I had a dark blue singlet top on one day and that was when I got closest....
