The "Stay Clear" cracks me up! Who is working around this thing and reading that? I am loving the loose and sketchy styling of a lot of your vehicles and environments, gets me thinking a bit of Syd Mead.

Hey, thanks for the kind remarks. Syd was one of my big inspirations in college. "Stay Clear" came from looking out the window of an airplane and seeing it written near the engine. So glad you left a comment, or I may never have seen your portfolio. Your male figure studies, rose painting, the dog comics . . . all outstanding work. Cracked too. And you're a student??!! Some true mastery showing through in your work, I'm impressed. Not sure what your career aspirations are, but I can see you doing a great comic strip, or figurative fine art. Again, thanks for the note. The admiration is mutual. -E

Thank you. I am not a young teen or twenty-something prodigy, in my 30s now, but I do still love drawing and am moving towards a Sequential Art degree and career with an MFA through Savannah College of Art and Design. Your sculptures look very familiar to me and I wonder if I saw them when I was stationed with the Army at the Presidio, in Monterey, CA. I have bookmarked your blogspot page, I love the daily sketches, thank you for sharing it (and them)!

You just may have seen my work in Carmel/Monterey. I live in Pacific Grove, my studio's in Monterey, near the airport. I have work Carmel Galleries. SCAD's got a great reputation. Where does and MFA in Sequential Art take you, in your ideal scenario? Again, much appreciation for the . . uh . . appreciation.

That sounds about right. The next time I come through Monterey, I will have to drop you a message and visit a few recommended galleries. To answer your question, I want to teach Art at the College/University level but will probably be a stay at home pop while my wife takes her turn at graduate school (PhD for her), and draw, draw, draw. Idealy? I think that actually might be ideal. Are our lives not interesting and fun? Here's to mutual appreciation!

how big would it have to be to hold enough fuel that it wouldn't just a massive energy dump?
It does look giant though, specifically that middle engine- it looks freaking amazing!

yeah, I'm sure this thing gets poor mileage, carrying all that weight around. Plus after I designed it, I realized that big, heavy lifter crane arm on the top deck is sort of unecessary, since things in space are weightless. But hey, it looks cool, so don't tell anyone.
Thanks for your kind remarks, I sure appreciate them.
