Nemo was raised to respect others even if they didn’t quite deserve it. He’ll always be the first to help anyone despite any grievances he might have. He prefers to be a companion of sorts and spread happiness despite his big size. The old fashioned tends to get spooked easily from years of all the worst case scenarios coming true….Honestly he just wants to help people and animals along with getting away from the fights that people like to pick with him due to his size back in Duskwood.

Nemo was the second child of his parents Isabelle and Shuck Merlo. Their family is part of a clan of old fashioned candies who live on the outskirts of Duskwood, Being passive observers to the history of the town which the pass down from one generation to another….They certainly didn’t leave Nemo out of this and Nemo himself was taught these stories and lengthy recollections of Duskwood’s past. All of them were in the original voice they were told of long passed Duskwood natives. They only share them with eachother most often but those who are deemed trustworthy can know the truth. Other than that...Nemo had an average life, taking care of his family's land, watching over his sister Adrina. Along with eventually working in Abel’s general store. Most of his days were peaceful minus….the fights that liked to break out in Duskwood…..and the political strain…..and the blood feuds...Oh god the blood feuds.
He was glad when Abel put his sister in charge of the store, watching his long time friend start a new life….He seemed happy when he visited later on. As the year continued, the more uneasy the residents of Duskwood got…..There was a riot and his mother was hurt….That and watching a family friend lose himself and his sanity with the politics of the town, was a painful sight. It was when people started picking fights with him got only more aggressive…..So After witnessing Stella and Pascal’s wedding and inquiring….He came to Jarr. He wanted to escape the Tension and chaos that the town brought and Jarr was what he needed….a dose of peaceful.

-Growing an edible garden and has a little bird sanctuary at the home Rho and him have

-Loves birds and bird themed everything

-Has phrases/words and statements he can speak through-- Most used people he’s talked to that gets used are: Abel, Eliot, Douglas, Rho, Certain Duskians

- May or may not be wandering around Jarr because he seems to forget house ownership is a thing, he crashes on couches mostly

- Their legs, Arms, horns are made of old fashioned candy stick material-- its a hard candy and takes q u i t e a lot of force to break, The patterns usually follow stripe patterns and are heavy so the old fashioned would have to be strong enough to lug around these limbs normally

- They cannot talk normally, They must mimic phrases and words that they hear from others (Think something akin to a recording of someones voice). When not doing that they make chitters, clicks, cricket noises and various bird noises along with gurgling. Some can even mimic other animals. They can communicate this way but its rare for an outsider to learn.

-Typically good at telling a story...yanno Literal Humanoid audiobooks

-Can see in the dark and have reflective eyes

-Can go absolutely still for brief times

-Usually pretty resilient, to hits, sickness and warm temperatures but cold temps makes them a bit brittle and they can have pieces of their candy limbs flake off

-Require a decent amount of rest to be able to have the energy to move their bodies, Typically move slower to conserve energy
