Myself in Amphibia.

Joshua Escobar is a young Spanish boy who is best friends with Anne, Marcy and Sasha. He is the captain of their school's football team and a very popular boy for both his athleticism and his kind personality, though he could never get a date because his parents would scare off any girl who tried to confess their feelings for him. He was also a pasiionate Art student. He looked after all three girls as if they were his sisters, though he was closest to Anne. When they opened the Calamity Box and were sent to Amphibia, he somehow was sent to the same place as Anne, but was better at surviving in the wild than her due to his family forcing him to do both survivalist and apocolypse training every year instead of celebrating Valentines Day. Kinda strange how their paranoia paid off. He ended up moving in with the Plantars alongside Anne, though was much quicker to accept the situation due to finding the whole thing pretty cool, like one of his favorite shows. He was more prepared in his backpack than her. He became as close to the Plantars as Anne did, growing especially close to Both Sprig and Polly. He also knows how to fight, even before the events of "Fight Camp.", and arms himself with a Frying Pan he keeps on him at all times. He wasn't so broken up about Sasha's betrayal due to having grown distant from her due to her becoming a bad influence. But he still has hope she will change her ways and become a true friend again. Sometimes his eyes glow yellow, as he is tied to a yellow Gem on the Calamity Box. He acts as both a funny guy and a tough guy in the series. Though he likes hanging out in Amphibia, he misses home, especially his moms and brother.
