Wonderful start! Other than what you mentioned I would either draw in or steal another horses mane to give him a nice flying one. Me thinks it would look cool.

Wow! More edit as in like just recently? Because I swear the wing joint looks more muscley! hehe And yea the no mane kinda was just a random thought becuase with horses like that I guess I just expect to see a purty flowing mane streaming out.. hehe still lovely though
