A graphite drawing after a long time! I still dont know how to blend graphite without any small patchy areas
Even after using various blending tools like stumps and buds. I hope i will figure it out someday This drawing is done on a coarse grained paper (i like to draw on coarse grained paper, but the texture of the paper clearly shows through). Time taken-5 hours, a bit longer than my usual drawings, but like i said i am still struggling with graphite. Watch the timelapse drawing video here -- youtu.be/rj72M-eiliQ

Try using a tissue paper for large areas..

i have used 3B for the sides of the face, so to get it smooth should i use HB over it and then blend?

Yeah... you can just use a tissue paper over it, or lift graphite from really dark areas that you want to lighten (kneaded eraser)

I use a kneaded eraser but lifting graphite from darker areas will be very time consuming process right? I am a bit impatient when it comes to drawing
