I really like the corduroy (idk if I spelt it correctly) effect if the stripes, it adds to the total blanketing warmth of the image that seems to be based on fabrics. The tea-stained like coloring of the background does so also.
I also liked the balance of the image with the one crease, the buttons, and the hair pin on the left against the arm on the right. Great shading on the face and coloring in the eyes.
2 things that are upsetting -- the plaid on the skirt and the general shading. The plaid looks hastily done as a solution to distract from a badly made skirt, even though the skirt is actually vert nice. It alsopulls the eye away from the main focus of the image - the girl's face, making an uncomfortable stress in a viewer's concentration. The light shading, not the dark, is the other problem. Try using shorter pencil strokes on those areas. The long strokes work nicely on the hair, as you did, but makes other areas a little more rough than they should be for the feeling of this image.
I hope this is a good enough critique for you!
In all, before i read the 'advance critique encouraged' thing above the comment box, i was gonna say this:
