Mangaenhydrus thalassensis

This is a very large species of otter found on the rocky coastlines of Polus. They are one of the main mammalian predators of the region. They grow up to 3.5 metres long and 200 kg and eat a wide variety of prey, ranging from molluscs, fish, birds, other mammals and carrion. They have paddle like back paws that aid in propelling them through the water.

This species of walrus, unlike their earthly counterparts, don’t have long tusks, though have large canines. They are one of the largest pinnipeds on the planet getting to 4-5 metres long and 2-4 tons. Bulls are up to 5 times larger than the females and are much more aggressive.
