This species of tortoise is a mimic of the family meiolaniidae. It has horn like scales on its head and a heavily armoured body. They eat mainly plants but have been seen feasting upon small carcasses and sometimes even bone. The animal gets to around 3 meters long and 500 kg. They have very few predators as they are very hard to penetrate due to their armour.

2 : Circle islands giant tortoise
Maiunemys islandicus
The circle islands giant tortoise is one of the larger species found on atlas, getting to sizes of 3 meters long and 550 kg. They are only found on the circle islands and have few predators. They are mainly found in the highlands where food is plentiful. Cactus is one of their main sources of nutrition.

3 : Rock tortoise / lava tortoise
Lapidermus giganteus
One of the more derived species of tortoise on the planet, the giant rock tortoise is also one of the most heavily armoured creatures found on the planet. They have incredibly thick scales and shells. They are often mistaken as volcanic rock by unwary individuals. They get to sizes of 2-2.5 meters pong and a whopping 600 kg. They mainly eat plants such as cacti and roots.

4 : Eon’s giant tortoise
Titanochelys Eoniensis
This species is the largest testudinoid to be found on Atlas, reaching sizes of up to 6 metres long and 1.5-2 tons, as well as being nearly 4 meters tall. They are high browsers that are found in savannah like grasslands. When titanosaurs arrived to Eon, they were too late as tortoises had already started to take over and grow to unfathomable sizes. So species of titanosaurs are now testricted to more diminutive species which have taken to the oceans and jungles of Eon.

5 : Obsidian tortoise
Zealiichelys obsidianus
The obsidian tortoise is the second largest tortoise on the planet in terms of height and length. They grow to nearly 3 meters tall and 4 meters long. They weigh up to 400-500 kg. 6 : Meiolaniidae
This group of ancient tortoises can be found in some of the more arid places in earth and some islands such as eon and the circle islands. They are virtually unchanged from when they were bright to the planet. The family is comprised of 5 species. They are all around same size but 2 can reach the size of a small car.
