I forget when I finished this
This is my least favorite of my most recent paintings. It's not terribly large, and so was the first time I painted such a tiny face; the proportions there are quite off. The gold circle is a bit of a mess. The purple/black background is a pain to photograph so I did some color correction.
If I were to redo this, I would paint it at a much, much larger scale. And I think I might someday, but not before I work on a lot of other better things. I just wanted to finally get this one out there, lease favorite or not.
She is the villain from my unwritten fantasy saga. I listened to Tool's 'The Grudge' a lot when I did this one.
Let the waters kiss and trans mutate these leaden grudges into gold.
