F-4E formerly assigned to the 51st TFW at Osan AB, ROK seenΒ behind a 22d ARW KC-10A out over the Pacific in January 1989.This is a unique and unusual view of the F-4!

Oddly enough, I never heard the "Rhino" name given to the F-4 from the pilots or maintainers when I was around them. I think that name was applied after the jet left service.
I was very pleased w/ this shot.Β I have probably not seen this slide in over 20 years...

The German AF guys were using Rhino as a call sign for their F4s back in the late 90's at Red/Maple Flag.
