sooo, just thought I'd let you guys see what I've been working on for the past 2 days...just a couple of hours each day. I swear the only thing I worked on today was her hair. :dies:anyway, so this is my work in progress of ~pixeloo 's style of "untooning." I watched his video working on the Jessica Rabbit [link] and thought it I'd try my hand at it.
It's meticulous work. I used Utada Hikaru for the base face features. I'm still trying to find a good reference pic to use for the shinigami uniform. I'd even settle for a kimono at this point.

It will be very interesting to see how this comes out! I really enjoy how you've shaded her hair.

well it's technically a photomanipulation. just lots and lots (and lots) of different photos and skewing to create the image. ugh. But go watch that guy's video on how he does it, it's pretty cool! He has it up on youtube.
