o luke... you inspire me how often you push deeper into your work. this has soo many new things going on in it for you, yet it is still wrapped in the same consistent style that has become your trademark. this piece especially is one of my fav's from you right now. your knowledge for color really comes into play here as your general color fields do well to convey a sense of space: the dark patches receeding and the purple quickly moving into the foreground.
the pixel stretch is effective as visual texture but id be interested in seeing more evidence that i am scrolling downward. the type-work and interactivity is impressive as always... and as i mentioned before: it is trademark shrimpjack. ... and i love the sort of flavored "visual stream of consciousness" that you leave for the viewers with your word selection. the mental blending of the words (a sort of word-juxtaposition if you follow me... each different possible combination creating entirely different meanings) is quite intriguing.
brilliant splash lumberjack luke

thanks man, thanks.
I'm thinkgin about some of the things you said, such as the scrolling evidence...I've gotten that comment a few times now so I may execute on it.
Thanks for the input, as always. you are a deconstructive master.

Oh wow I love how you did the mouseovers man. It's reminescent of playing the slots and losing. Hah. The pixel stretch is of course sexy. And like you said, you can't go wrong with hot pink. Beautiful work on this one. Very beautiful in concept as well as execution.

thanks man.
We've been studying dadaism in more detail than I have ever before and i recieved a copy of a dada manifesto written by picabia. It pretty much fueled this whole piece.

Awesome work. Sys has always had a dadaist tinge to it, and it'll be interesting to see how your studies could bring out that aspect more. Keep this vein of style pumping, and I see great things happening.
