What people need to realize is how good America has it compared to other countries out there.

nice page and I'm also proud to be an american, its sad how so many people overlook countries such as russia (when stalin and kruschev were in charge), irag (when saddam was in charge), cuba, libya and all the others that are actually dictatorships yet they claim bush is removing free speech and all please.
If he was removing free speech and all there would be secret police like the communists and the nazis had and the islamofascists (such as the guy in iran) has and they would drag people off and torture and kill them, hell honest Abe deported everyone who criticized his policies during the civil war, sent them all to the south (particularly those in the senate and congress and whomever else were sympathetic to the south).
By far bush could've done any of those things yet he did nothing didn't even defend himself much because he does love his country and the freedom it represents as opposed to countries that capitulate to terrorists and dictators.
I'm reminded of Neville Chamberlin of Great Britain back before Churchill arrived, and how he submitted to Hitler and let the nazi bastard have his way and annex numerous countries just because he (a) didn't want war and (b) thought by appeasing the nazi leader there would be peace yet what happened?
Hitler kept taking more and more expanding and butchering people until finally people wised up and pushed back, as was done with saddam who had used wmd, not to mention let terrorists train in his country and even paid suicide bombers, raped and tortured who knows how many people along with his darling sons.
If we were in a dictatorship one wouldn't see bill maher and others saying vice presidents need to be offed, soon as they said that someone would come and take him and everyone else out, dignitaries such as iran's dictator would also be taken out along with anyone who opposed him, the press would be too scared to speak up as well.
And those who commented negatively on this page would be hunted down and killed for daring to speak out as well.
If we were in a dictatorship that is which we're not thank God

I comment on it, f705t.
I love the USA. Bush is doing his best.
His best may not BE the best, but for
goodness sake he's trying. I recently
compared pictures of him from 5 years
ago to a picture of him today. This job
has aged him so much. If he didn't care
it probably wouldn't have. In times of
war and hardship, one of the most
powerful countries in the world needs a
powerful leader, and we have that.
/And I'll proudly stand up and say
God bless the USA/
Thank you. Good luck in the army.
Hope we hear from you again, sir.
Nat

I think that you guys got it all wrong. Just because somebody is against the war and against bush doesn't mean they are anti-american. I love this country, but lots has to change

Also in response to stormclaw, You are absolutely right, because of freedom of speech people can say whatever they want to say. However the fact that they have the right to say it doesnt mean that Frost is somehow required to listen to it.

Here Here f7o5t, Finally a political post that isnt anti-american. I agree with you 100%. To all those people, like vultus, who feel otherwise... Weapons of mass destrucion are not the only reason to go to war. Consider... Freeing the opressed and tortured... If we had not gone in there what would be like now? More mass killings. More mass graves. The Iraqis no longer have to live in fear of their own leader and can do and say whatever they want, simply because our soldiers willingly risked their lives to spread freedom.

I like the way Futurethoughts put it.

Ok 'bud' I read your comment and you are right. Americans have a right to express their thoughts of the government, BUT neither of the people that commented anti-usa things are American. One is Canadian and the other is from Sweden. So before you go butting into other peoples problems please be a little more considerate. Asshole.

Dislike, but I must say that I enjoy seeing you children and your games. Now frost, just hear me out bud, I'm only going to say one thing, and that is, if your such a good american, why do you go against the basic precepts of being american? You say that if anyone has anything bad to say about our country then they are unamerican? I say you are unamerican this country was built on the ideal ofbeing able to disagree and still get by, something almost ALL americans forget these days. If your a patriot, accept people for who they are and for their ideals, and just let them say what they want, just like you, they have that right, if you resrict that then it is you who stains the american name, not them.Freedom of speech my friend, read our history before you go off on people for expressing themselves, and by the way, socialism saved this country bud, dont diss the communists to much, k? Oh and moxy, why are you even here? you dont express opinions that have any kind of backing, Your the reason I do alot of this now. I notice you never reply back to me.

since Frost won't answer that, I will.
how did we "rape" a country? And every country is allowed to make a mistake, the USA included. We don't have
to be perfect, just because we have money and power. We try, smartass.

DragonStella, i know you posted this comment quite a long time ago, and i'm not usually one to rant... but i still feel the need to answer.
you say that every country is allowed to make a mistake. the USA has had it in their minds that anyone who makes a mistake is a terrorist. for some reason, this 'terrorism' its never called terrorism when it's carried out by the US of A. America has no proof that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, and even if there were some in Iraq, they would be from groups like Al Qaida, NOT the Iraq people themselves. this doesn't matter to America, as they wage a war on 'terror'.
now would also be a good time to point out that America is the only continent that hasn't signed Kyoto Protocol, which could be considered selfish, since America contains just 4% of the world population, but are responsible for 25% of the worlds carbon dioxide emissions.
you also say that you don't have to be perfect just because you have money and power. who said you have power? the only reason you have that much money is because you have that much oil, and the only reason you have that much oil is by invading countries with oil, claiming them to to be terrorists. you all of a sudden elect yourselves as the 'leaders of the free world', and expect everyone else to worship the ground you walk on. since you have that much money, and (apparently) that much power, you have a responsibility to at least not ruin the world. America is too proud to admit their mistakes, and will eventually make too many to turn back.
i respect you for loving your country, but I'm just saying DO NOT complain that the rest of the world thinks America is doing something wrong.
**please note when i say 'America' i mean the American government. i have nothing against American people.**

Holy hell . . that was three years ago . . what's the point??
I'm not getting into this. But it is ridiculous to point a grubby finger at a country and call it hateworthy just because its actions don't always correspond to your desires. Especially if you don't have your facts straight.
