here's an art of Simba and Nala as elders, looks like they've officially retired from being king and queen and passed that torch to Kovu and Kiara.

as you can see, Simba has some grey detail on his mane to signify he's aging, while Nala pretty much doesn't have that since she's a female, she did age as well.

additionally, as they aged, Simba had gain the wisdom of his father, Mufasa.
