This is a little tribute to the Creature from the Black Lagoon, my favourite and the most badass of the Universal Monsters and to the one of the greatest bands ever, The Cramps.The title, obviously, is inspired in the music 'The creature from the black leather lagoon', by The Cramps.
- Ink for the linework, pastels to colouring monster's skin and marker to colouring his costume.

I keep seeing references to the Creature from the Black Lagoon, yet I still have no idea what it is or where it comes from... (Well... I suppose it comes from the black lagoon, but... )

(I've heard of the creature, I've seen/heard various references - but I have no idea about the original origins)

He's a creature who lives in a black lagoon, in Amazon. In the movie, some scientists go to Amazon to capture a 'strange old animal' that they never heard about; the only clue they had were his hand. It's a 50's movie, I don't know if you'd like to watch. But gosh, the movie lasts a little bit more of 1 hour, you won't waste a giant life time watching it... Well, I like a lot this movie, and I don't care about some poorly-done parts, hahaha this is one of the reasons I like that movie so much.

And about his costume, it's a tribute to Lux Interior, singer of The Cramps. He had some costumes during his career, and this is one I like a lot.
Take a look at 'Naked girl falling down the stairs', a Cramps's videoclip that he uses that costume.
