CHARACTERS OF THIS RACE:
APPEAR IN:
- also known as Nekomata
- all male of this kind is called Aurorark. females are called Marerit.
- in a long time, it was believed there didn't exist females of this species. it was later shown that the male and females do not look like each other.
- the two tails the Aurorark have is for pure show. it wags its tails wildly while wailing to empress the female. their counting ritual is very noisy.
- before counting the male normally kill a larger prey to give to the female since she never hunts anything bigger than herself. the male with the biggest prey normally gets the changes to mate.
- like the rest of the Areh family; the Aurorark's fur glows in the dark with a greenish to a blueish hue. some means they have evoled this to lure prey to them in the middle of the night but this is only a theory.
- they can be seen with the dull star-like pattern like the females have. it is rare though
- even the Aurorark looks blind, they are not. it sees as good as a normal house-cat in the dark, but it is vulnerable to bright sunlight, because of it's good night-version
- they are nocturnal due to their good night sight and luminescent fur.
- Aurorark kills its prey by sucking its blood and they only kill the smaller prey they catch. bigger ones they normally let go. due to this, many believed it had Blood magic due to its vampiric feeding habit. it is possible that they feed on blood to get access to its prey's magic since it surely takes a lot of energy to keep its glowing fur. Aurorark who lives in captivity barely has the glowing fur because of this.
- it is illegal to own Aurorark unless you own a zoo or animal reserve. many exotic owners want them due to their glowing fur, but they are not good pets in any way or form due to they will attack everything with a pulse and there have been reports about negligence parents who leave their infant baby with one because they thought they were a normal house cat.
