There is a nice mix of light and dark within this picture.
The cracked glass of that window gives a sense of abandonment, while the fresh white dusting of snow covered in radiant sunlight gives a feeling of hope for the future, that something will change for the better.
The texture of the snow itself, between fine and grainy, comes quite close to the texture of the paint that can be seen.
There seems to be something obscuring the top of the image, I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but once its noticed, its hard for the eye to passover it again.
Altogether, a lovely shot that does a lot with a very limited pallate of colour.
