Description
This was a very unusual find, especially in the heart of pure UP territory. My roommate was out driving, and called me with something unusual on the line running through town. When he said, "KCS", I tore out of the house with the camera, and gave chase.I caught this Department of Defense train, complete with loads of light-equipment trucks, hum-vees, and even some light artillery, heading west down the Sharon Springs sub past MP 296, near Hays, KS, led by KCS AC4400CW #4579 and KCS Gevo ES44AC #4688 (in Southern Belle paint).

It's a place I haven't typically used before, and I'll definitely do some more experimentation from it in the future, especially when things green up a little bit.
