Description
Some have asked me for pictures featuring the other variants of Charlemagne, so here is the main battle tank variant. I was inspired by the early British tanks of the second world war, in particular the Churchill heavy tank, and the Matilda. These vehicles were certainly not designed with aesthetics in mind. They were brutal machines made to do an ugly job, and I feel that gives them a certain unpleasant beauty that has captured my imagination for years.

This is part of a showcase of the Imperial Galactic Charlemagne Tank Upgrade Kit. I started with a standard GW Leman Russ hull, and I changed out the turret, sponsons, and hull plate as well as adding plenty of extra bits and doodads to give the original kit a more old school look and feel.
