Description
Binary System...I have to say this is one of the most hardest work Ive ever done, I spend a hole night dong this O__o. I took special attention on details and realism. Perspective is trully working here and I really feel the sun power in my eyes
I was inspired by the movie "sunshine", I watched a couple of days ago.
Anyway, I hope you lik it!

my g-ma and i are in the middle of painting this on my wall as a mural. I'll post photos and credit you, although we took some artist liberty and added a nebula in the bottom right corner, but thank you for the awesome design that inspired me

I think maybe just lowering the light shone on the asteroids, or make it more jagged, with less reflection.
Asteroids are usually rock, not opal

Wow(That one is getting old xD ) This looks awesome(duh, you made it), but as a fan of the sunshine movie( ) it doesn't look real xD (sry)
Binary, eh? Doesn't it have more 1's and 0's xD (I fail ) (What's up with the parantheses?(Sry if i misspelled xD )) OMFG

Lol, "a whole night" is nothing...the better you get, the more picky you'll become with details, and soon enough, you'll be spending no less than 6 whole nights just for one picture But I'll admit this is probably your best space scene so far
Better than the BInary system I did a few months back...and I had been doing it for much longer lol (then again, mine had absolutly no textures or fractals used
- that was hard
)

FacundoDiaz In reply to Chromattix [2008-11-17 16:20:33 +0000 UTC]
You should try fractals, makes your work faster.
About this pic, I re-made it, so i would like to know your opinion again. If this doesnt bother you of course.
π: 0 β©: 1
Chromattix In reply to FacundoDiaz [2008-11-18 00:58:35 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, I use fractals now, but not then I try to keep them minimal since many actually don't like the use of fractals in space art
The new composition is good...now the lighting on that closest planet makes more sense too....the Sun's patterns look awesome, but A bit too much I think, but oh well, don't waste time on this one forever

FacundoDiaz In reply to Chromattix [2008-11-18 02:08:00 +0000 UTC]
Great advance critique as always. Ill just adjust asteroids so they dont look like plastic. Thanks again for the comment man.
As for fractals, now I think the dont go with your style, yours is very organic and realistic. fractals may look too artificial for your works
