Description Just saw the new KOTET trailer and now I have Vaylin feels

This is a dialogue option Agent can say to Ardun Kothe, but I feel it also really fits Vaylin's situation

I really love the idea and composition of this.

I'm part of the "I hope she gets help, or at least revenge" group. I would kill for that damn it.

Ty ^_^

I'll settle for revenge; I 'm really skeptical of a getting help narrative being pulled off well, in a way that respects her agency (I mean does Vaylin seem like she wants help?). But revenge + choosing her own destiny would be a great continuation for Vaylin's narrative. I'd kill for it too

Ah.

I'm different. I love Vaylin so much. She's the most relatable out of all of the Eternal Throne Family

I found her boring prior to "Betrayed" and now I feel so very sad for her.

At the ripe old age of 5 she accidentally kills several of her family's personal guard (who I believe were subordinates of her mother).

Her mother then lets her Absolute Monarch father take her to a SANITARIUM where she is institutionalized and brainwashed by people who work for a body hopping mass murderer.

Vaylin's childhood reads like a Child Abuse 101 pamphlet.

Well to be fair IDK if "let" is proper for what Senya does because Valkorion pretty much cares about no one except himself, so I dont know how much power she had to stop it.

But yeah. Even before betrayed we get hints that her childhood was abusive (IIRC in the chapter Senya goes down to Zakuul with you, you can talk with her in the sewer. She says something liek "Vaylin... was trouble from the start. Valkorion's solution was to cage most of her power - along with her mind" or something.)

I agree with your assessment that her childhood is characterized by abuse. It's what inspired the picture, I want to see her have the opportunity to get revenge. I also feel like the knowledge of this helps flesh out some of the interaction she had with senya in chapter 8 (especially if she still has resentful feelings towards Senya for either not stopping or not being able to stop Valkorion). I mean if I was Vaylin I would be resentful about that.
