alright, i couldn't keep away from here for too long. so, i'll just submit my current drawing in progress. it's of stephen, of course, who else?again, i took a picture of this drawing with my digital camera. so, sorry for the resolution. i really do need a new scanner.

How do you get parts of it so dark? Do you use charcoal?

i just use regular pencils for the darker parts. 2B mechanical pencil for the eye and hair. and for the darker shades of the hair, i use 4B and 6B regular pencils
