I always want to draw something in Lily's style and I like seeing Oro and Itachi together. It is why I have chosen this picture.

This is a wrong point of view.
It is interesting how different people with different colouring styles do the same thing - different choice of colours, shadows, tones...
And if you have problem with some part of the picture, you can have a look at work of others...it is helpful.
Each work is interesting.
E.g. I had problem with hands...I cannot draw hands..and this was a very "handy" picture... Lily is a master in anatomy.
Each picture helps you improve.

Thanks... I appreciate that... I think I just need to take a step back and just accept my style first before I start thinking of how to make it better....

Styles are changing... I like visiting DA members, who are here more years and comparing their old style and their new works...it is fun.
With each new work you do, you can learn something new...
e.g. this was/is a good opportunity - we have work of a brilliant artist, who we admire and a good lineart - so we can experiment with shadows, textures, colours...
(I think, the most challenging is the first picture...nobody has chosen it yet...too bad)
But we all have many years (I hope so ) to improve.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 (the program which was with tablet for free).
I'm so stereotypic - I use the same 3 brushes with the same opacity every time. And I like brown/yellow tones.
I should try something else next time.
