After reading these two, I started to read more fics...
But I didn't read too many of them yet. I don't have enough time. >_<

Well, just do it like me -

Copy/paste the fanfiction in one o' them free text-to-speech programs, and listen to it while drawing!
I use "Bla bla maker" combined with "Microsoft Mary"...
(Even though it obiously handles English well, the Bla bla maker's default interface and support-website seem to be German though... so tough luck navigating it for you I guess ^_^; )


For even higher efficiency, convert the text into an audio file, maybe mix some background music in - and put that on your mp3 player.

...actually, with chapter 14 out now, and accidently not having deleted the previously exported text-to-speech files yet, I can give you the exact time:
9 hours and 33 minutes, plus/minus 1 minute or so for good measure.

It was worth every minute though!

Thanks! It most certainly is! I finished Past Sins that way in about one'n'half weeks - besides my 40 hour/week job!
...the fact that it was rather gripping helped of course, too.

I also am about to finish up on the most recent chapter of "It takes a village" - 'Spike copes with growing up as a dragon amongst ponies'-fanfic, VERY VERY good - only having started "reading" the entire 13 chapters on Friday afternoon ... and now I'm about 8 hours in.
All the while simultanously drawing comics, playing videogames, or going grocery shopping...

I guess when you're on a tight shedule, you gotta be efficient!
