You may have noticed that a lot has changed...
Because it has
As it is, i have secretly been debating Fae's look for a long time.
Like...a couple of years, even, and never once breathed a word of it -- not even to Kitten.
I was very dedicated to the look, and felt that there was no turning back, that i had sealed her appearance.
Well, in just the last couple of weeks i finally realized...
That's so stupid.

Embarrassingly, Fae was heavily inspired by my girl crush on Rihanna.
Yes, the musical artist.
That's why i gave her that wicked mohawk, and had her come from an island called Barbada (Rihanna is from Barbados).
I may change that, too, but i don't know what to call it yet.
One thing at a time ^^

But one thing that has always bothered me about Fae, is her giant hair meant she could never wear a pirate hat...
Which is kinda...super important to me
The other thing was...it just didn't feel like me.
In the last several months, i've been making more and more characters feel personal to my identity, including Sol the dragon, and Astra the shape shifter.
Those two will not be going away ever, but Fae is so important to me, and a core character identity, and i just...i gotta relate to her more.
I made her a little thicker (just a tad), including her upper arms, and it honestly makes me feel...better about myself, oddly enough.
I gave her hair that's coarse and wavy, just like mine, and did the same to her tail.
The braids and gold beads?
Pfft, that's just for flare.
I LOVE hair beads!!

Another thing that's bothered me about Fae for a VERY long time is how bright orange she's always been.
On the one hand, i loved it, but on the other, it made her gold jewelry blend into her.
That was very annoying, and it made her design feel sort of obnoxious while compared to other characters.
Basically, she felt boring and i didn't relate to her as much, and now it feels a lot more warm.

You might notice the earring and bracelet are switched now.
Well...
That's because i'm right-handed, aaand having jewelry on my right wrist usually distracts me.
I have no idea why i chose that years ago
I really didn't think much through...

Yes, a wedding band!
Kitten and i aren't married yet, but we have ambitions, and consider ourselves married in spirit.
We call each other husband and wife, so...
Why not!
Here, we each have a metal, solid band.
No fancy diamonds needed! <3

The iconic tail ring...
Yes, it's gone ^0^,
Ahhhh i kinda hated to do it, but i want her tail to flow totally freely now.
And in its place, she now has a massive emerald pendant around her neck, which is fitting because i love necklaces ^u^
Her having never worn one in my own lore for her is...bizarre
I don't have significance assigned to the emerald yet, and i really don't know if i ever will?
It's all new territory; more than likely, Fae simply connected with it (stones are spiritual) and felt it as a sort of friend that she keeps close at all times.

Besides her physical appearance and apparel, nothing has changed.
She's still herself, she's still a loud, mouthy, foul-spoken bitch who rages hard and loves harder.
