ERMAHGERD ERMAHGERD ERMAHGERD IT'S MAH FIRST SPIRIT OC!!!

I'm actually quite serious!
Interitus was not the first major OC I created, but he has been used and put to heart far more.

In fact, this gem here has been in orbit for some time, heheh~.

His name is Orbit.

I made him back sometime in my junior year of high school.

In fact, I remember designing him in my English class.

I sat right at my desk and labored away the majority of the 90 minutes I had.

Needless to say the art was not very good given how long ago this was, and as you can clearly tell Orbit is based solely off the night fury.

At the time, like eeeverybody else, I was head over heels for night furies.

Given the dragons were designed based off Stitch, it's no wonder i could somehow see the alien potential in them.

And I know, a white night fury.

Wow, never heard of THAT one before, how original. *rolls eyes*

But I wanted to separate him a little more so I made his tail short and fat, removed the base fins on his tail, reduced the number of finger bones in his wings, added a thumb and changed his back legs.

You may also notice his distinct inverted eyes as well, which serve a large purpose.

I have information on him in the old sketchpad I first drew him in somewhere in my living room closet.

Later today hopefully I can get in there and find it, because I have a hunch there is some crucial information I am forgetting about him that i'll wanna include in his upcoming bio.

So why all of this now?

Orbit is very special to me.

The "father" of my spiritual OC journey, Orbit is less real to me than Interitus but just as real as a beloved character.

I have secretly always had an ornate, unending love of space and the idea of extraterrestrials, but could never properly grasp it and use it.

Thanks to Invader Zim I finally have grounding and couldn't be happier there <3

So Orbit here is a result of my lusting for a reason to have something akin to that of an alien, but I didn't want an alien who used technology; I wanted a spirit, something that could use magic and fly and run on all fours.

What better than a dragon?

So I tried to alien him up a bit, but that is not as apparent just by looking at him.

Rather it is his odd powers that make him an ET, and where he exists.

Though he is, however, not entirely terrestrial at all.

He's more or less multidimensional, floating and drifting and moving from realm to realm and protecting space and doing good wherever he can.

But his primary fascination/place he drifts near?

The Earth, and our moon.

Orbit gets his name because he literally orbits our world, watching us and slowly filling himself with knowledge on how we live.

I know I want him to have been around for a long time, but not as long as Interitus.

Interitus' existence is a result of Eve breaking God's rule and letting death come unto the world.

But I think i'm going to have Orbit be more recent, maybe having only been around 1000 years or so.

Still a long time to watch us grow and change, I think.

And when he IS still, he prefers to stay on our moon and watch the earth from there.

Have you ever looked at the moon and gotten a sensation of loneliness?

Like there's just a single soul that resides there and looks on at us in wonder and desire?
Orbit is my way of explaining this to myself, though he is more awe-filled and pleased than the lonely figment I often wonder about.

He is, however, lonely in another way, but this is something imma keep to myself for now

Again I intend to do a whole bio on him with another pic, so bear with me ^v^
