Kitten brought up Avatar last week, just before the Plan died.
It reminded me of this quote i made for Wan about a year or two ago -- i wanna say it's been in my phone since at least 2018, but i'm not sure.
Either way, i've always wanted to do an art for it and jot it down, but never got around to it.
With everything going on in our lives right now, the time felt right.

At this moment, i feel like Wan in my lore.
Bitter, sunken, defeated, but wanting to somehow find forgiveness or learn to cope, to start over.
He remembers who he used to be, and how that was whipped out of him over the years.
And now he has someone in his life who, despite her ultra fiery and bombastic disposition, has helped soften his heart and chip away at his walls through patience and preaching of her own views and experiences.
It matters to him.
Nyra sees him hurting, and she tries to work with him, even when he's unreasonable.
I can't help but find this to be familiar.

Either way, despite how he feels inside, he and Nyra are surrounded by her signature flower, the cherry blossom.
There is beauty all around, specifically because Nyra came into the picture.
The cherry blossom in this context represents love, peace, healing, and tenderness.
Patience is another big one at the helm.

Feels good to be getting back to my usual thing with art.
I don't think Yang is going anywhere any time soon, but i've gotten enough off my chest to start balancing it all now
