"It matches your black heart." ~Elizabeth SwannA recreation of Elizabeth Swann's pirate dress from Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl. The dress was designed by the eternally brilliant Penny Rose and I took it upon myself to attempt a recreation.
Total completion time of the dress, shift, and underskirt was roughly a week, although the dress took three days alone. Plum taffeta was used for the dress, silk for the underskirt, and linen for the shift. Cluny lace is used in the sleeves, gold trim is used throughout and black froggie closures are used as embellishments as per the original costume!

HEY GOV!! Yeah...thank you! I love it, too. I'm such a POTC freak-fan (new term, just coined it to best describe those who recite the lines to the movie, worship the cinematography, download the soundtrack, and stare at the costumes for hours on end...oh yeah. And who are in love with the actors..
