Rib is a creature of belief. As long as she believes in herself, she can do anything! Well no, but she's going to try anyway! She's strong enough to lift a leaf, tough enough to withstand a breeze, and courageous enough to go out in the rain! Though, that last one was almost deadly for her.

Rib can help plants grow, predict the weather, and see the souls of the dead! Wait what? Er well, she sees them as nature spirits. Unfortunately they kind of...don't seem to be able to see her? No that's not true, most pokemon can't see her due to her size. And those spirits seem to think she's one of them instead of a pokemon when she can get them to notice her.

See, she's so small she can't speak. Her voice doesn't carry very far. For a regular pokemon to hear her, she has to shout it right beside their ear. It's for this reason she avoids going into towns. She doesn't even have any healing abilities...

It's fine! What matters is she believes in herself! Rib can do this! This life thing isn't THAT hard after all, right?

Rib is cheerful, and obnoxiously optimistic. She could see the bright side to a natural disaster, and has. Why, just take Mewtwo. While he did cause untold destruction and ruin many lives, and deaths, he's still alive. That means he might one day learn, and make up for his mistakes!

The reason she's like this is because no one really knows she exists. Being tiny, even by Ribombee standards, she's often missed even when she's right in front of someone. It's why she tends to stay away from other pokemon and live quietly in a little birdhouse in the forest. She doesn't want to bother anyone. Being alone is better than being dead, after all! : D

History

Rib was born when her mother met an Alolan Raichu, and they bumped into each other accidentally. Sharing a kiss, her mother was immediately with child. If a fairy believes kisses can get one pregnant, then that's how it happens! And so against all odds: Rib was born. The father abandoned them due to not knowing Rib even existed, and her mother raised her alone. Rib goes to see her on occasion, but it is sort of taxing to hear her constantly reassure Rib that 'he's just gone out for milk and will be back'.

The Alolan Raichu, meanwhile, thought the Ribombee was joking about the child from a kiss, and had gone home. They currently live in the town near the mother working at a factory. Completely unaware she's waiting for him.
