Done with charcoal, that's why the background isn't fully black. It's done a little messy

I really like how deep and intense the emotions are. It's like the person is broken physically due to the shards missing from their face. Very awesome work!

I enjoy this one, well done.Β  I have trouble with getting faces proportionate, even the slightest mistake and it looks like crrraaaaaapppp.

haha, I agree. It is really hard. I especially find the eyes really hard to do, but I used a ruler on this one to try to get it looking right, thanks for the comment!

There are always plenty on instagram but the prizes aren't usually anything too special. I just like to get the exposure. But yeah if you are looking for a contest, instagram always has stuff going on.

Basically it's just an app where you upload photos. Your profile consists mainly of photos and videos a couple seconds long. People can like your photos and follow your page. It's pretty simple but I've found that the art community does thrive on that site. There are a lot of artists that take pictures of their drawings to put on there.
