A lot of adult sliders can be pretty friendly, especially is someone is feeding them or there isn't a lot of predators in the area. My yellow-bellied loves to have his neck scratched (actually will stick his head out so I can scratch it) and his shell. You know how a dog will move it's butt back and forth if you scratch it's back by it's tail? My turtle does that too if you scratch the back of his shell! LOL
