Description
If you're following this series in order, click here next .I like the close-up on her face--there are a lot of those from here to the end, actually, so I hope you guys can appreciate them, too.
In this picture, we get to see an accounting of Avora's damage to the remaining sleeper's bane--the frosted blossom is steaming to the left, and the bitten one is disgorging its "payload"--that black, bristly-looking seed that is couched in a pocket (now burst) of black pollen. If you can't tell what's happening here, Daddy Flower has the situation "in hand," tightening his (its) grip on hair and neck, and (off-scene) her hands by pushing her back forward so her hands drop down for support (he's a smart sucker when it comes to manipulating humanoid mammals, I guess). This choking motion also puts an end to that troublesome frost breath, and sets up our poor heroine for the last of the sleeper's bane blossoms that can reach her, which even now is orienting toward her mouth for another shot...
Page 26 will go up tomorrow. In the meantime, have the plants succeeded in overcoming all of our heroine's defenses (wand, hands, spells, movement, mouth, teeth)? Are Daddy Flower and his hench-plant (
Enjoy!

Yeah, the seed looks a little menacing, doesn't it. It's designed to grip and hold whatever tissue it's planted in, so once it's in there, it's pretty hard to get out, I'm afraid...
Thanks!

That was going to go down her throat? Good gods...
Hmm, I actually can't think of other defense. But I am wondering what's going to happen ONCE Avora has been subdued. Also, I wonder if that ghoul is feeling any better...
heh heh heh, hench plant...

The ghoul is pretty much out of the picture at this point. Your assuming that Avora will be subdued, of course. She may not be. However, if I were going to bet one way or the other, I would bet on your side...
Yeah, the seed looks a bit troublesome, doesn't it. I liked the menacing way it turned out.

It reminds me of a pineapple, but that has hooks. Pointy hooks...

Rubbery, pointy hooks. That was kinda the idea--a pinecone/pineapple seed-thing...

That also looks like it has to be shoved down the throat with a rocket launcer.

A potato gun will suffice, I think, but there's no harm in being prepared...
