It always bothered me how vampires would "take" their victims by seduction instead of force--I'd think women would run like hell if they knew their evening's date had fangs and was only interested in "getting some."
However, I'm not a woman, so there may be some mystique there that I just can't "vibe" into. My wife says that vampires are usually so handsome that their victims are swooning, and so forth... Hey, I saw "Dracula"; was Bela Lugosi handsome?! Pardon my 80s' jargon, but "NOT!" Hence the ropes on her wrists and the fist in her hair...~pinktat wrote a short fiction story that fits this really well. Check it out here. [link]

Excellent! The way it should be, the look of terror on her face, and the merciless look on his. Could never understand the idea that a woman would be aroused by having her throat torn out. honestly, (not just a AVERAGE vampire fan girl by the way) I think vampires should be hansome/pretty and terifying at the same time, there is a ballance that is just appeling to me, even so, this shows the "dark side" of vampires, he is probly a sweet guy when he is not feeding. (teheheheheheehehe)

First of all, just saying that if the vamp was hot and sexy (and i knew he was a vampire) i would definitly let him bit me, but i can understand your point of view. Second, great job with the shading,i love it, especially since a lot of people cant shade as well. And third, if the vamp was ugly and mean, yeah, i would also run like hell. lol

GUH! This is hot on so many levels. I see this as a BDSM-ish vampire scene. He's taking his victim by force, but yet she is oh so willing. She just doesn't know it yet until he sinks those fangs into her milky neck and drinks down her blood. Then, the euphoria begins. Brilliant!

Its actually quite a combination of both, Being "taken" by something dominant, or rather being under control of something powerful is part of the seduction. That something that powerful has taken an interest in you, even if just to kill you. Very wierd, I agree but with some people just cant be helped! 
Anyways love the artwork, and agree with your take. Im kind of tired of the wimpy ass vampires of today. Even Angel from Buffy the vampire slayer was badass despite his moodiness ahaha

yes, I agree with that opinion. also, he probly is a nice guy when he is not feeding, its just that powerful and myserious aura that draws me to this creature, if any thing if I were to write a vampire drama, it would be one of the more "not wrote out of your BUT" type ones. (id throw an explosion or to in there as well for the action lovers) and it would have more story, and the vampire would NOT be a wimp. at all... or be so much of a wimp, (like the high school nerd type wimpy) it would be HILLARIOUS... any way, I hate the stereo type vampires that my peers seem to love (im a freshmen in high school)

Great job with the inking. I can't ink worth a crap, so I really appreciate seeing good examples of it. I also like the fact that you decided to go with a ... more realistic approach to vampires. XD
I was reading a lot of the comments, and it would be easy to give an analysis of why vampires turned "sexy". lol. We humans have our perverted fantasies, but in real life... I bet 99% of us would run screaming if we met a real vampire.

Bela Lugosi is SO handsome! But anyway, I really love how this is reminiscent of the 50s pop art cartoons in the facial expression. I'm using it in a feature of my vampire art~
