Description My general idea of Martin's theme and a variation of it

First half could be the theme when we first see Martin entering Mossflower

Second half could be the theme when Martin goes into battle (probably need another variation for the duel with Tsarmina)

I can see how Martin entering Mossflower could work for it... It's quite a modest tune at the start, isn't it? Quite heartwarming in itself. Sorry, I've just discovered your music on here, and I'm loving every tune. Oh, and I like the title, I'll just add that before I forget. =^^=

You know what the second half reminds me of? Like, title credits at the start of a film. When you're on the main menu and in the background there are snippits of the film. Could so totally see that happening.

Before I forget, I'm going to list what instruments some of the main characters remind me of for the heck of it.

~Martin - Irish whistle
It's a very emotional instrument, capable of very powerful music, very happy music, and very sad music. It usually sounds thoughtful, almost melancholy, unless played with very cheerful instruments (such as an Irish fiddle *cough* Gonff *cough*).
~Gonff - Irish fiddle
It takes some effort to make an Irish fiddle sound gloomy, although it can sound serious with the right tune. It's usually cheerful, energetic, and merry.
~Skipper - Trumpet
Strong, brazen, powerful, determined - the trumpet is a courageous instrument, just like Skipper.
~Tsarmina - Piano
It can play a very pretty, sweet melody while at the same time doing deep, foreboding chords. Very much like her.
~Amber - flute
Don't ask me why Amber reminds me of a flute. She just does. Maybe because a flute always sounds fast-paced, and squirrels are fast-paced.
~Bella - cello
It's a very strong instrument capable of many different kinds of pieces, but at the same time it's pretty constant in its tone.
~Boar - tuba
He's a strong, deep, rumbling kind of character, and the tuba echoes that. He also plays more of a background part of the story really, and the tuba is almost always more of a background instrument.
~Columbine - tambourine
The tambourine keeps a constancy about it but can be used in a vast variety of music styles. Columbine doesn't really change in any situation but she is in festivals, battles, and quiet farmhouses.

Now that I've rambled on all that . . .

This is GREAT!!!!!

I especially like the second part; lots of power. Maybe you could add something to the beginning, just as a backtone? There isn't a ton there. Maybe a very, very soft violin. (If you can't tell I'm crazy about violins and Irish fiddles and whistles. )

Hmmmm...
I shall take your suggestions into consideration (Although I will have to obtain an Irish whistle and fiddle sample).

I did add a backtone to the first part, but it is very low and very soft.

Definitely love the fullness of "Heart of Fire" - it has all the immersiveness of a classic "Tales of..." RPG opening.

Very nice, and certainly could work in both places.

Although I had always envisioned the scene where Martin enters Mossflower as having more mysterious and potentially mournful music. Not my call, though.

Thank you

I'm not quite sure what feeling that the first theme should evoke, so I did more of an expository piece regarding the environment.
