*Mannerisms: As he gets older his voice deepens haveing a welcoming wise tone and as he ages he developes a smooth rasp with a softer tone while still keeping his deep voice. He internalizes his emotions and does his best to keep his tone calm and collected...at least untill he loses his temper. Usually keeps his tail high to show he is confident even when he isn't confident he tries to keep it held high to give the appearance of confidence;Reuben tries to be strong or appear strong even when he isn't to protect himself which was his mothers last piece of advice she had given to him him before passing away which is why he acts that way. Not knowing the vocabulary of the Onni Pack yet he tries his best but is use to calling his parents and parent figures Mamma and Papa. Reu likes to observe others so if you catch him stareing he is probubly observeing your behavor and trying to figure you out.

Physical Description: He usaly has a confident posture and looks very scruffy due to extra fluff he has on his chin, neck and cheeks; he isn't the most handsom or average looking pup but who knows he may grow up to be quite the looker. Still being pup he still has a little of his baby fat which makes his limbs look thicker than they really are however he is starting to slim down as he matures into Young Adulthood. Reuben's eyes are a darker shade of Amber and can still be seen esaly umong bushes and tall brush. His eyes are on the darker side of the color Amber's spectrum but become brighter as he ages. Under all the fluffy fur and baby fat his mussles are lean which are average for his age at least in his family's gene pool. As he edges his marking change slightly giving him a light saddle mark, darker backs on his ears and his grey back covers the full length of the back of his neck.

In Depth:

Short Temper: Reu's short temper often leads to him failing a task and causing un-nessisary arguing; When frustrated or enraged his temper snaps quickly and he reacts on his negative emotion which can cause him to say or do things he doesn't really mean as well as lash out at what ever caused him to feel the way he does however he feels deep regrets for what he has done once he calmed down and realized what he has done then apologizes trying to make up for what he did. Even though is is a negative thing in battle his short temper can be an advantage letting his battle be filled by his rage if a pack mate or someone he reply cares about is injured or made fun of however it can blind his judgment when attacking and cause him to get hurt making the situation worse.

Determined: Reu's is very determined to find his place in the pack and prove he can be a trusted member of Howahkan even if it means doing basic tasks around the territory. He will always give his 150% at a task given to him no matter how small and refuses to give up until he completes it. Reu also is very determined to do he absolute best when learning a new skill and won't give up until he is able to master the skill; pushing himself to exhaustion he will learn it even if it takes years.

Ambitious: Reu's ambitions can be good and bad depending on what he is focusing that ambition on. However in this case his Ambitions are good as he strives to prove he belongs in Howahkan as a valued and trusted member of their pack. There is a dark side to his ambition, one no one sees but him and that is to be a great warrior in order to seek revenge on this that killed his family even though there is no way he can return to his former home.

Risk-Taking: Reu loves to take risks for the thrill weather thats jumping off a rock or fallen tree thats taller than him to crawling into unknown holes or climbing down into ditches, exploring caves and even trying to swim in rivers that have powerful currents just to name a few of his adventurous examples. This may be fun but he can get into trouble, cause trouble or worse get injured but he does this to prove to himself that he isn't invincible due to his family's deaths and him being the only known survivor it is how he deals with his troubles when someone around him dies instead of him.

Guarded: Heeding his mother's advice Reu is very Guarded with his emotions with exception of his anger and the morning he still feels over his decessed family, he won't say what is bothering him or admit when he is sad. You would have to be extremely trusted for him to tell that information to you. This is a bad thing because he keeps them bottled up inside which not only effect his mental state but can also effect how interacts with others causing him to seem hostile if it gets bad enough.

Optimistic: Reu is very Optimistic even when the situation seems hopeless; he tries to look at things in a different perspective and sometimes it helps find a solution to the issues at hand. He looks for different ways out or to solve the issue with a positive attitude even if it looks like nonsense or unless to onlookers. But that doesn't stop him from trying even if his optimism is needed to raise the spirits of those involved. His optimism doesn't always help or find a solution which can be irritation to him and others but he believes at least he tried and if he didn't at least try he may not have been any help at all if their was a solution.

Sympathetic: He is sympathetic towards those who have experienced loss of someone in their life or who are severely injured and need help. He will try his best to make them feel better and help them anyway he can even if it just bring in them a flower or pretty stone or even just keeping them company every day if his schedule allows it. Reu isn't very sympathetic if you get a scratch or your partner leaves you from someone else, he can actually come off quite rude if you come to him just to complain about it.

Vengful: If someone injures, bullies, or kills someone close to him he will seek revenge even if it is not worth it knowing it won't make him feel better. It can be as small as a prank or joke to as big as a life for a life. You will have to work very had to convince him that revenge isn't the answer for he believes quite strongly in an eye for an eye which can label him a jerk and murder however it has not come to murder yet.

Honest: When it comes to reporting what he has seen weather that be a betrayal or someone breaking the rules he is very honest and up front about it. If he has done something wrong and no one saw he would put it off but not telling when he broke a rule would eat at him until he finally told someone what he as done and accepting the consequences.

Loyal: Reu is very loyal to Howahkan having been the pack to accept him and not kill him which makes him very grateful; willing to die for the pack for letting him keep his life. He is most loyal to Naat'aanii Powaqa for allowing him to stay in the pack and Ceres for taking him in as one of her own; he feels it is his debt to defend and stand by them loyal even if it ends up costing him his life. If there ever was a terrible dispute between Ceres and Naat'aanii Powaqa his loyalty will be torn in half causing confusion and calling his loyalty into question if they ever ended up on the other side of each other's fangs. He has great respect but also fear of Naat'aanii Powaqa.

Protective: Reu is very protective of those close to him and is quick to act if they are harmed in any way or in danger which can lead him jumping paws first into a situation without knowing all the facts or being prepared to fight letting his instinct to protect blind his judgment.

Spectator: Spectating is one of Rue's ways to learn, he watches those older than him. He does this for two reason; number one, to try and figure out ones behavior and who they are as an individual and number two, to observe knowledge about whats around him. Spectating allowed him to find out what is going on in the back without suspicion of most which gives him an advantage when he isn't suppose to know about something but this is also a bad thing because if caught he know he will be punished and it can also put his life in danger if outsiders knew he knew something important. So he tries to stay away from the Alphas and Betas but it is a talent he is most proud of that he keeps to himself. Reu also uses his Spectator trait to learn skills weather thats working with herbs, crafting, hunting, attack, or defense. So if you see him watching you he is probably learning about you.

Eager: Reu is very eager to learn new skills and about others around him; he is one of the few enjoys learning history and beliefs about the world around him. Legends are his favorite types of stories and he tries to figure out the lesson behind it if their is one. He takes on skills he is too young to learn and tries to teach himself after watching the adults and trainees do the skill. Reu is so eager to learn he want's to master everything he does even if he isn't ready yet. Most see him a too eager to grow up and that is probably true, he wasn't to be involved with daily tasks around the pack even if it means sneaking away and following others which gets him into a lot of trouble. His intentions are not bad but they aren't good either, he sometimes tries to spar with those bigger than him copying the older wolves.

Pre-Group History: Reuben was born in central Montana into a small pack made up of his parents, grand parents, uncles and aunt during late fall. He had two sisters in his litter and the pack was over joyed at the birth of pups to carry on their traditions and stories. Sadly where they lived there was too much competition with other packs causing them to either hunt on farms or steal from bigger packs which means they had to be very sneaky when hunting for either option and tried their best to stay away from the human farms. This means food was scarce and smaller packs such as Reuben's pack didn't have much to go around which made keeping pups alive difficult and when pups are born healthy it is celebrated with a day of rest for the pack so long as they gathered enough scraps a day a head of time. Their family managed on scraps they took from other packs mostly because the bigger game all lived in the center of larger packs territories so usually they just took any scraps they could find and became scavengers however with it being pupping season in his homeland more food was required which means less scraps for the smaller packs like Reuben's family who survived on the scraps. But food was plentiful this season so scraps where plenty which kept Reuben's pack fed and proved him and his siblings with plenty of milk. The pack celebrated for a week thankful for the birth of new pups and the plentiful scavenging trips. However as Reuben and his sisters Natiri and Alyda where old enough to be weened off of milk onto solid food due to over hunting scraps became less plentiful so the adults gave what ever meat they could get to the pups to help them survive as they ate mostly the bones and leftover organs wolves don't normally eat causing the adults to become thin, weaker, and even sick due to bactieral contamination in the organs. Once reaching 6 weeks old the pack became desperate for better food and since there weren't much to scavenge as winter began to set in along with them being too weak to try hunting large animals and fighting off the packs defending their territories they decided the best was to still survive and keep the pups alive were to move closer to the humans and hunt near there. But because of the organs the adults have been eating his Uncle Otto became sick making the trek slow and risky to his health, they pressed on anyway hoping he will make it and get better once he has eaten better food. It took a little over a week to find a place closer to humans to settle and Otto was a lot worse then when they started their journey and died half way there leaving everyone to morn him but continued for the pups sake. While trying to move the pups to a safe place to they have a chance to scavange food for them before continuing on their journy a starving female loner risked getting close to them on the last day of travle and she was able to snatch one of Reuben's sisters, Natiri, then ran away with the intention of eating her but when her family had to give up and keep moving a larger pack saw the loner on their turf so they began chasing him out of their territory which he carelessly wondered into. While being chased the loner dropped Natiri so he could run faster without her weight dragging her down. The group continued after the loner while a couple wolves stayed behind to see what she dropped and upon finding the pup they accepted her into the pack so she is still alive and with a loving new family. Back with the pack after a day of moving they rested in a new spot they now called home and tomorrow they will start hunting but that night they would rest and morn with a night long vigil for Otto and Natiri,who they believed to be dead and with her uncle's spirit watching over them. They lived there for about 3 months and the new territory proved more fruitful than in the central area around the packs where they use to live and so it was decided to stay there permanently however the human who's livestock farm was right in their territory didn't like the idea of wolves living so close to his property and began telling other livestock owners and even farmers in the area that the wolves are a danger to livestock, pets, and children, but these where just stories for the pack never hunted the farmers animals nor did the kids ever get close enough to see a wolf. But with his tall tales and his warning of what ifs caught their attention having won the other farmers over he was able to convince them they needed to take action and get rid of theses "Pests" before they lose animals and children so when night fell the farmers came out with their guns and dogs to track down every last wolf killing them. They set the dogs lose to track and trap the wolves and attack if commanded too, once found they shot Reuben's grandfather, Apollo and his father, and his father's brother, Jude and sister, May having the dog corner them against a tight nit cluster of trees. During this time Reuben's grandmother, Heather and other Aunt, Skylar, and mother who stayed behind to watch over Reuben and Alyda while the others hunted. Upon hearing the dogs in the distance followed by gunshots their Grandmother knew something was wrong so she told her daughter, Skylar and daughter in law Inari to take the children and run without looking back no matter what. The howling and barking of the hounds grew closer as they followed the scent trail back to the family. Inari and Skyler obeyed taking the pups and trying to escape but the hounds found them leading the humans strait to Heather; aggressive barks, snarles, and painful yelps could be heard as the four ran as fast as they could. Skylar couldn't take it and left the pups and Inari to keep running and she went back to try and help her mother and try to stall for time. Crying Inari pushed the pups trying to get them to keep running tho they where scared and confused on what was going on. Now alone she took her children far from the human having escaped thanks to Skylar and Heather; she moved herself and her pups back to the central area of the pack's protected range. She then tried her best to feed and raise the pups alone but sadly she couldn't be in two places at once having to leave the pup alone for hours and lost her daughter, Alyda to a hungry fox that picked her off because she disobeyed her mother and did listen to Reuben's warning about their mother saying it was dangers to wonder alone. When their mother returned Alyda wasn't back and Reuben franticly told her she didn't listen and left. Inari chased after her daughter's now old scent, unknowingly with Reuben trying hard to follow her, to find her dead and when she heard Reuben's gasp in shock she quickly tried to shield his eyes from it while trying to comfurt h. Almost completely alone, sinking into depression over her recent losses she would hunt and scavange but never ate leaveing any food she got to Reuben. He grew worried about her and tried his best to comfurt his mother and that is when the Park's rangers noticed a lone she-wolf out every day trying to hunt and scavenge but growing skinny from starvation and they followed her seeing Reuben beliveing she was struggling to feed them both it was decided relocateing them to a new park would be best. After being sedated with tranquilizers they woke up in a box during transport, Rebuan was afraid but his mother assured him it will be okay. Having seen wolves being relocated before she assured him he would be going to a better home with a lot of food and to never show fear to anyone even if he was afraid. His mother didn't make the trip and died from stress of captivity a month later in the Luner Forest's Ranger station. Now 4 months old Reuben started to suffer from nightmares once in a while but was still able to sleep normaly so he was cleared to be introduced to the park after his month of quarinteen to monitor his health; The Loner Forest rangers decided to set him just in the border of Onni Pack's Territory beliveing that pack was his best chance and them watching from a far hoping to catch a glimpse of him in the future. As for Reuben not knowing where he is being disoriented due to a minor sedative to calm him so the Rangers can handle him safely into the crate so they can release him onto the pack's territory he slowly came too findin he was in a stange place. Afraid and alone in this strange new land that surrounds him with strange scents from an unfamiliar pack; he listens to the sounds of howls in the territory that caused his body to shake with fear but remembering wat his mother said to him befroe they where at the Ranger Station he stood up tall puffing out his chest and raised his tail trying to make himself look bigger and confident despite his fear. Trying to keep calm and find his footing he takes a step towards the sounds but he still shook as he walked not knowing what he would find.

Most see him a too eager to grow up and that is probably true, he wasn't to be involved with daily tasks around the pack even if it means sneaking away and following others which gets him into a lot of trouble. His intentions are not bad but they aren't good either, he sometimes tries to spar with those bigger than him copying the older wolves.

Pre-Group History: Reuben was born in central Montana into a small pack made up of his parents, grand parents, uncles and aunt during late fall. He had two sisters in his litter and the pack was over joyed at the birth of pups to carry on their traditions and stories. Sadly where they lived there was too much competition with other packs causing them to either hunt on farms or steal from bigger packs which means they had to be very sneaky when hunting for either option and tried their best to stay away from the human farms. This means food was scarce and smaller packs such as Reuben's pack didn't have much to go around which made keeping pups alive difficult and when pups are born healthy it is celebrated with a day of rest for the pack so long as they gathered enough scraps a day a head of time. Their family managed on scraps they took from other packs mostly because the bigger game all lived in the center of larger packs territories so usually they just took any scraps they could find and became scavengers however with it being pupping season in his homeland more food was required which means less scraps for the smaller packs like Reuben's family who survived on the scraps. But food was plentiful this season so scraps where plenty which kept Reuben's pack fed and proved him and his siblings with plenty of milk. The pack celebrated for a week thankful for the birth of new pups and the plentiful scavenging trips. However as Reuben and his sisters Natiri and Alyda where old enough to be weened off of milk onto solid food due to over hunting scraps became less plentiful so the adults gave what ever meat they could get to the pups to help them survive as they ate mostly the bones and leftover organs wolves don't normally eat causing the adults to become thin, weaker, and even sick due to bactieral contamination in the organs. Once reaching 6 weeks old the pack became desperate for better food and since there weren't much to scavenge as winter began to set in along with them being too weak to try hunting large animals and fighting off the packs defending their territories they decided the best was to still survive and keep the pups alive were to move closer to the humans and hunt near there. But because of the organs the adults have been eating his Uncle Otto became sick making the trek slow and risky to his health, they pressed on anyway hoping he will make it and get better once he has eaten better food. It took a little over a week to find a place closer to humans to settle and Otto was a lot worse then when they started their journey and died half way there leaving everyone to morn him but continued for the pups sake. While trying to move the pups to a safe place to they have a chance to scavange food for them before continuing on their journy a starving female loner risked getting close to them on the last day of travle and she was able to snatch one of Reuben's sisters, Natiri, then ran away with the intention of eating her but when her family had to give up and keep moving a larger pack saw the loner on their turf so they began chasing him out of their territory which he carelessly wondered into. While being chased the loner dropped Natiri so he could run faster without her weight dragging her down. The group continued after the loner while a couple wolves stayed behind to see what she dropped and upon finding the pup they accepted her into the pack so she is still alive and with a loving new family. Back with the pack after a day of moving they rested in a new spot they now called home and tomorrow they will start hunting but that night they would rest and morn with a night long vigil for Otto and Natiri,who they believed to be dead and with her uncle's spirit watching over them. They lived there for about 3 months and the new territory proved more fruitful than in the central area around the packs where they use to live and so it was decided to stay there permanently however the human who's livestock farm was right in their territory didn't like the idea of wolves living so close to his property and began telling other livestock owners and even farmers in the area that the wolves are a danger to livestock, pets, and children, but these where just stories for the pack never hunted the farmers animals nor did the kids ever get close enough to see a wolf. But with his tall tales and his warning of what ifs caught their attention having won the other farmers over he was able to convince them they needed to take action and get rid of theses "Pests" before they lose animals and children so when night fell the farmers came out with their guns and dogs to track down every last wolf killing them. They set the dogs lose to track and trap the wolves and attack if commanded too, once found they shot Reuben's grandfather, Apollo and his father, and his father's brother, Jude and sister, May having the dog corner them against a tight nit cluster of trees. During this time Reuben's grandmother, Heather and other Aunt, Skylar, and mother who stayed behind to watch over Reuben and Alyda while the others hunted. Upon hearing the dogs in the distance followed by gunshots their Grandmother knew something was wrong so she told her daughter, Skylar and daughter in law Inari to take the children and run without looking back no matter what. The howling and barking of the hounds grew closer as they followed the scent trail back to the family. Inari and Skyler obeyed taking the pups and trying to escape but the hounds found them leading the humans strait to Heather; aggressive barks, snarles, and painful yelps could be heard as the four ran as fast as they could. Skylar couldn't take it and left the pups and Inari to keep running and she went back to try and help her mother and try to stall for time. Crying Inari pushed the pups trying to get them to keep running tho they where scared and confused on what was going on. Now alone she took her children far from the human having escaped thanks to Skylar and Heather; she moved herself and her pups back to the central area of the pack's protected range. She then tried her best to feed and raise the pups alone but sadly she couldn't be in two places at once having to leave the pup alone for hours and lost her daughter, Alyda to a hungry fox that picked her off because she disobeyed her mother and did listen to Reuben's warning about their mother saying it was dangers to wonder alone. When their mother returned Alyda wasn't back and Reuben franticly told her she didn't listen and left. Inari chased after her daughter's now old scent, unknowingly with Reuben trying hard to follow her, to find her dead and when she heard Reuben's gasp in shock she quickly tried to shield his eyes from it while trying to comfurt h. Almost completely alone, sinking into depression over her recent losses she would hunt and scavange but never ate leaveing any food she got to Reuben. He grew worried about her and tried his best to comfurt his mother and that is when the Park's rangers noticed a lone she-wolf out every day trying to hunt and scavenge but growing skinny from starvation and they followed her seeing Reuben beliveing she was struggling to feed them both it was decided relocateing them to a new park would be best. After being sedated with tranquilizers they woke up in a box during transport, Rebuan was afraid but his mother assured him it will be okay. Having seen wolves being relocated before she assured him he would be going to a better home with a lot of food and to never show fear to anyone even if he was afraid. His mother didn't make the trip and died from stress of captivity a month later in the Luner Forest's Ranger station. Now 4 months old Reuben started to suffer from nightmares once in a while but was still able to sleep normaly so he was cleared to be introduced to the park after his month of quarinteen to monitor his health; The Loner Forest rangers decided to set him just in the border of Onni Pack's Territory beliveing that pack was his best chance and them watching from a far hoping to catch a glimpse of him in the future. As for Reuben not knowing where he is being disoriented due to a minor sedative to calm him so the Rangers can handle him safely into the crate so they can release him onto the pack's territory he slowly came too findin he was in a stange place. Afraid and alone in this strange new land that surrounds him with strange scents from an unfamiliar pack; he listens to the sounds of howls in the territory that caused his body to shake with fear but remembering wat his mother said to him befroe they where at the Ranger Station he stood up tall puffing out his chest and raised his tail trying to make himself look bigger and confident despite his fear. Trying to keep calm and find his footing he takes a step towards the sounds but he still shook as he walked not knowing what he would find.
