For the past two days I've been trying to come up with an idea about how the site's layout update should be.
Suggestions regarding the Core members' benefits:
Core members should have the ability to customize their background image or colors.
The number of Custom boxes should be 20 instead of 10 for Core Members.
Access to all of the widgets that already existed in this site.
Core members being able to change their username every 3 months.
Suggestions regarding the NON-Core members' benefits:
Non-Core members should have the ability to change the colors of their backgrounds.
Non-Core memebers should be given the right to have at least 1 custom box compared to now that they have non.
Non-Core members should have access to the polls widget.
Non-Core members should have access to the critique feature.
Non-Core members being able to change their username every 6 months.
In addition, the following features would also be included in this version:
Light Mode
Likes button in comments

What if this concept of Eclipse had actually the option for users to customize and change the colors of your profile?

(These colors can also be used in combination like for instance a Red Header and black profile colors with a yellow Font)

As far as the Notifications system, it's perfect the way it is now (classic version). It's comfortable and user-friendly. The only change it would have should be the colors to match the new ones.
If you agree with this version of DeviantART Eclipse, please share it in any possible way so that our voices can be heard and for DeviantART to continue being the unique site we all know and love.
I also urge you to use the blank version and add your own information from your own profile and share it with the rest of the members.

well not really, maybe 1 I'd agree with for non-core, but not more than that
besides you can already customize your profile as a non-core member, just not the background and stuff
Even when I didn't have core yet, I could customize my profile and make it beautiful
one day I just tried out core and happened to like it and that's why I kept buying it, it inspired me to earn points, do commissions and improve my art, same goes for other artists. It just feels weird to now give a free pass to everyone to use it when other people worked so hard for it
and like I said, custom boxes are the main reason people buy core, if you can just do that without core people will stop buying it and DA won't earn any money and might go 'bankrupt' it's still a site that needs to earn money to survive and give to their employees. It's simple economy

yes this is absolutely perfect, i was just thinking they shouldnt have tried to go so fancy on the eclipse version because its a complete mess and fuck i couldnt even check my notifications without being confused as to where they are since it wouldnt tell me i have notifications when indeed i DID. i would love if deviantart did this exactly or even just made the current theme black and polished and make the code up to date

I'd be much more likely to get used to yours as far as I see, Eclipse is just... unacceptable. for many reasons.
I only disagree with " The site should promote the art of the people who pay more compared to how it's been promoted now." , unless you mean some ad section, because I wouldn't appreciate paywalling regular browse exposure and pushign the non-paying members' art far into the depths of the site, making it invisible.
Also, I'd keep the core username change cooldown 6months, and set the non-core's to 2 years. Too many username changes are not the best thing to happen all around, but people shoud be able to change it at all because pople chang,e grow outof things etc.
In general, I surrport your preview's verison at this moment. And especially that grey bg instead of nearly black! it's much more pragmatic!

This is quite a nice layout, and I would be pleased with this if Eclipse addopted this profile layout.
i especially like that the background banner isn't in the way of anything on the profile, and that
you still kept some green to signify "DeviantArt" through the text layout.
Edit: I do think that the top left area that has the icon is a bit too filled with visual clutter. The small areas
of uneven text and visual of the group are not particularly something pleasing to my eye in that area. I would
like my Tag line to stand out more for one as well since for me a tag line is more like a quick notice, conversation,
catch phrase, or helpful tip that can be used.
EDIT AGAIN
On the topic of Promoting Core Member's art, I had the idea of DA-Core specific ad spaces where Core users can insert into
their own custom ad that would display in places like the side bar of journals or submissions. This would be an ABSOLUTE treat
for getting a core membership. Even if the two places I added were the only places that User ads can show, it would still reach
out to an amazing amount of people to help promote someone. (I'd actually rather it be able to be a custom link, though,
as I'd like to promote myself on places other than DA. So ads would have to go through admins to be approved first. WHich probably
should be done to begin with to make sure no one put up something really awful.)

I dissagree that users should be able to change their usernames so often. It is detrimental for an artist to
"get their name out there" if they are constantly changing it. Users should think carefully about how they
want to be called, seen, and known by. Giving people access to name changes so much will be detrimental
to artists who don't put thought into their name. Plus it would be taking up more and more available names
at a faster and faster pace. i know people who change their username every single year, and not only is it
disorientating, but I have no clue who some of them are anymore because they changed it so many times.
