I've never thought of them as the same person. A lot of people do too. It's because they not only look different, but act different. Shadow seems more friendlier than Dark.

I love seeing them as brothers or have a son/father relationship.

And requests? Hmm...well, no one usually asks for requests from me. I guess it depends on what you're requesting. I'll most likely do the request, but there are a few things I don't draw(or can't draw).
